NEW HORIZONS IN THE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT BODY OF KNOWLEDGE
Construction Project Management (CM) is a professional service that uses specialized, project management techniques to oversee the planning, design, and construction of a project, from its beginning to its end. Construction is the process of constructing a building or infrastructure. Construction differs from manufacturing in that manufacturing typically involves mass production of similar items without a designated purchaser, while construction typically takes place on location for a known client.
Construction Extension to the PMBOK: A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) provides generalized project management guidance applicable to most projects most of the time. In order to apply this generalized guidance to construction projects, the Project Management Institute has developed the Construction Extension to the PMBOK Guide. This Construction Extension provides construction-specific guidance for the project management practitioner for each of the PMBOK Guide Knowledge Areas, as well as guidance in these additional areas not found in the PMBOK Guide:
– All project resources, rather than just human resources
– Project health, safety, security, and environmental management
– Project financial management, in addition to cost
– Management of claims in construction
Project Financial Management is a process which brings together planning, budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, internal control, auditing, procurement, disbursement and the physical performance of the project with the aim of managing project resources properly and achieving the project’s objectives.
Construction Project Claim Management is an inevitable process in Management, to reach successfully the desired results. The requirement in first place is to avoid claim through managing the breeding grounds with all earnest, alignment of documents, and eventually
entertaining an entitlement in an efficient and business-like manner. Considerate approach for early settlement on issues between parties is always cheaper and leads to win/win results. The construction project, mostly a large undertaking, demands one to prevent stained relationship of parties, stalemates, delays, disputes, or loss of resources that cause or carry the potential force for litigious and arbitral action of the parties, for resolution in contract. Claim is a management issue and the process needs efficient and effective management during the entire life cycle of a project.
While the PMBOK Guide does not include a dedicated section to HSSE management, it is generally accepted as a primary component for managing construction projects. Safety and environmental management are not unique to construction projects and may be independent projects or programs within other industries. Because of the unique nature of construction projects, health and security considerations are generally included as part of
safety and environmental management, all of which are incorporated under the umbrella of HSSE. This section of the Construction Extension presents HSSE considerations for managing, assuring, and controlling construction projects.
BIODIVERSITY OF MEDICINAL PLANTS OF WILD FLORA IN AJARA – SOUTH COLCHIS AND THEIR USAGE IN FOLK MEDICINE
The paper deals with the biodiversity of species of medicinal plants of wild flora in Ajara-south Colchis, their systemic structure and peculiarities of use in folk medicine, also recipes widespread and successfully used by local people. It is estimated, that: wild medicinal plants of Ajara- south Colchis are represented by 194 species, belonging to 154 genera and 73 families. The biggest amount of species is gathered in following families: Asteraceae, Rosaceae, Lamiaceae, Solanaceae, Scrophulariaceae, Caryophylaceae, Hypericaeae, Polypodiaceae, Vacciniaceae, Crassulaceae. Other families are represented with small number of them. Species the most commonly used in the recipes of traditional medicine are: Chelidonium majus, Urtica dioica, Mentha longifolia, Bidens tripartita, Leonorus qunquelobatus, Tussilago farfara, Matricaria chamomilla, Glicyriza glabra, Vaccinium vitis-idae, Hypericum perforatum, Arctium lappa, Vaccinium myrtilis, Carum carvi, Helichrysum arenarium, Poligonium aviculare, persicaria hidropiper, Equisetum arvense, Salvia glutinosa ; Vaccinium arctostaphylos, Verbascum thapsus, Rosa canina, Achillea millefolium, Inula helenium, Humulus lupulus, Rubus caesius, Crataegus mikrophylla, Crataegus pentagyna, Ammi visnaga, Sambucus ebulus.
ENTREPRENEURIAL INTENTIONS & EDUCATION PROCESS
The future competitiveness of young population on the labor market under dynamic and complex business environments relies on learning, motivation and forward-thinking. Students must develop new competences, advance their knowledge and understanding real situation, find opportunity for their carrier, learn and create competitive knowledge. This challenge concerns to education, culture and business performance. Learning process have to be transformed to as to facilitate corresponding individual and cultural competencies. The aim of this article is to present results our research and discussion about entrepreneurial education and teaching experience on experimental education, learning environment which promote sustainable business as opportunity for individuals and community. Implication for research and practice are discussed.
HAYVANCILIKTA İTHALAT ÇÖZÜM MÜ?
Ülkeler hayvan ve hayvansal ürün ithalatını sırasıyla; hayvansal ürün açığını kapatmak için, damızlık özellikleri yüksek hayvanları ıslah amaçlı kullanmak için, hayvansal ürün fiyatlarının artmasını durdurmak için ve azalan hayvan sayısı açığını kapatmak için yapmaktadır. Kısa, orta ve uzun vadeli olarak planlanmayan hayvancılık politikaları her zaman sorun olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Günü kurtarmak için yapılan tüm ithalatlar hem ülkelere ekonomik olarak yük getirmekte, hem de üreticilerin hayvancılık sektöründen kopmasına neden olmaktadır. Uzun vadede planlanmayan hayvan ıslahını kısa sürede yüksek maliyetlerle damızlık değeri yüksek hayvanları ithal ederek çözmek hiçbir zaman olumlu sonuç vermemiştir. Hayvan ithalatı yerine küçük ve orta ölçekli yerli işletmelerin sürdürülebilir hayvancılık için desteklenmesi daha önemlidir.
APPLICATION OF THE ARROT METHOD TO THE ESTIMATION MAGNETIZATION IN MAGNETOINSTABLE SYSTEMS
The magnetic instability of the system of collectivized electrons manifests itself in rare-earth intermetallic compounds as well. In these intermetallids, the magnetic subsystem of collectivized electrons in the exchange field acting from the side of the rare-earth subsystem of localized -electrons. To determine the role of the exchange interaction in the magnetic behavior of the zonal system, we studied the magnetic properties of the system ). It was revealed that, in the systems with the magneto-instable zonal subsystem, the exchange interaction leads to the emergence of the effects connected with the transition of this system from one magnetic state to another. The analysis of magnetization curves of these compounds was performed by using the Arrot method. The field dependence of magnetization of some compounds of the studied systems in the vicinity of the characteristic temperature of the susceptibility maximum is expressed by the equation .
